About
the Path of the Gods
Embark on a transcendent experience as you tread the Path of the Gods, where legends such as Ulysses once roamed, guided by the whispers of the wind and the call of the Sirens. With every footfall, uncover the unparalleled splendours of the Amalfi Coast, known as La Costa Divina -the divine coast – due to its rejuvenating powers and focus on the good life.
The lemon, a symbol of health and vitality in Italy, resonates perfectly with the vitality and freshness that the Amalfi Coast offers. High above the coastal gems of Positano and Praiano lies the most enchanting and iconic walk Italy boasts — a path that has been the heart of countless myths, stories, and legends.
The Amalfi Coast is not merely a destination but an endless voyage of discovery. Spanning 50km of undulating coastline, the Path of the Gods stands out, inviting endless wanderlust and romantic exploration. This path, though trodden by many, has woven its way through history, bearing witness to the march of civilisations, nature’s grandeur, and the tales of explorers past.

There are three entry points to begin your journey on The Path of the Gods, and our personal favourite starts from the quaint Piazza Paolo Capasso in Bomerano, winding your way to the charming cliff-top village of Nocele above Positano. This is an enchanting walking route that has echoed with the footsteps of both gods and mortals. Every stretch of the trail is infused with history and natural beauty, framed by ancient olive groves and terraced vineyards that feel as if they have existed since the beginning of time. On the air, you will catch the subtle scent of lemon blossoms, symbolic of the region’s commitment to wellness and as you stand atop these rocky terraces, you’re presented with an expanse of cerulean sea and sky with views stretching all the way to Capri.
The Path of the Gods is a testament to the Amalfi Coast and its legends. It’s a trail that has enamoured poets such as DH Lawrence, authors such as John Steinbeck and philosophers like Italo Calvino. As it meanders through sun-kissed terraces and over ancient tracks, you will witness tiny hamlets where time seems to have stood still as you travel from one small village to another.
